Biden Olfactory Syndrome
« on: April 02, 2019, 01:34:55 PM »
This has been like an 'elephant in the room' for a few years... and, yet the traditional media has looked the other way  ...recently, still silent - 'till 'a woman with questionable allegiance to another candidate' spoke up.  Marjie and I were watching TV a few years ago and there was a ceremony in the White House where Joe Biden walked up behind a girl 12-14 years old and vacuumed every pheromone off her scalp. (I was expecting his eyes to glaze when he was done...)

...not, someone he works with or at an exciting 'campaign rally'  ...a child. Her mother looked aghast. I said to Marjie; "Biden's wife is standing there!?"

It would be interesting: two old white guys with their supporters arguing which is worse for the future of the nation: Handsy or Nosey.  That may be what we're coming to.

In spite of the fact trump has gotten away with much worse, we need to have a dem candidate with no skeletons in the closet.  At least not those kinds of skeletons.

One is on tape bragging about a history of sexual assault.  The other might have sniffed hair.  Possibly awkward?  Made me feel uncomfortable is an untenable standard.  Let's not attempt to equate the two.

No, I’m not equating the two.  Not by a long shot.  I’m just saying that the Dems need someone that the Republicans can’t point fingers at.  If that’s even possible.

Looks like Lucy gets around. She might just be a bit to friendly with Bill here.

I know that you are not.  Joe Biden is an affectionate guy.  There are thousand of pictures of him hugging men, women, kids, everyone.  Many people are, and there is nothing inherently sexual about it.  Of course the opposition would like to conflate those this with Trumps deviant behavior.  It irritates me when the Dems are there to do it for him.

Boss,  You could not have watched those slow, lizard-like moves on that young girl and thought it not well beyond creepy.  I know people who are, to my mind, too friendly  ...always antsy, fingertips touchy, loud - this was not that.

Set aside, Biden has little in his history of voting or statements that he's any different than Chuck Grassley of Iowa on the other side ...just some old Pol with an establishment donor base that 'wants' something in exchange.  Same-old c'hit on a new plate.

Let new, younger, people take us into the future rather than these geezers who keep looking backward.  'Great Again'  ...I saw separate drinking fountains and divided bus stations in TX while in the Army.  That was an evil period, not an America I want my grandson to inherit.

WS,

You wrote that this was on TV and at a white house ceremony.  I am not sure what you are alleging but it sure doesn't sound like he was at all concerned that the world see it.  This is who he is.  I would have no problem with this from anyone on either side.

I think most people under 65 realize that Biden's behavior in a company would get you fired today, whether you are a CEO or a super friendly janitor. If you are a high level employee you have probably gone through hours and hours of training that says this kind of behavior is not acceptable in the work place. He's not winning any votes from younger voters - and I  certainly have some very demonstrative and "huggy" friends and I still find some of these videos "creepy."   In particular a friend of my father used to behave this way around all females,  he ended up being convicted of child molestation.  One of the kids he molested was a little girl when I was junior high age,  she is the sister of one of my high school friends.  She told me how all of the young girls in our church/neighborhood dreaded this guy and that was long before the abuse started.   He was a model citizen, choir leader, city councilman, scoutmaster, war hero, and loved and defended by all his friends.  It does not matter what Trump has done, if someone wants to be president they have to have the moral integrity to lead.

i think biden is generally a decent man, who is more affectionate than most--nothing sexual and no intended perviness--much like many women who put a hand on your knee when making a point--annoying, but not sexually offensive--and he's not a cheater--aint no mistresses in his wake

if ive a problem with joe, it's that he laid down, as senate judiciary chair, while anita hill was shit all over during the thomas hearings--and then... we got thomas, likely the dumbest judge ever to get near the supreme court---but joe has admitted regret as to how he handled that situation, whatever that's worth

you know, clarence thomas, the guy who neglected to disclose that his wife was paid 750k per year by the koch bros--on the simple one page financial disclosure sheet for onboarding supreme ct justices and families!---he "forgot"---no problem!!

his wife ginny puts up disgraceful tweets these days

if theyve any charm, they vacation together in their winnebago

but hey--trumps has forced security clearances on 25 staffers who failed when vetted by normal clearance staff--and Trump wont use a secure phone--and jared whats apps with that butcher MBS---i could go on and on.....whatever...

By that standard we have a big pedophile problem and no candidates.  Google any candidate's name and the word hug and you will come up with thousands of images and video for each.  Do you really want to claim that someone lacks moral integrity for hugging?  And of course it matters what Trump has done.   If one side is comfortable with with everything and the other has this type of unrealistic standard we will end up again exactly where we are now.

Let's face it Biden is not progressive enough for the base D's in the next election. The D's are going to take him out before he even gets started. His best day as a pres candidate was the first one, from here out it will only get worse. Bernie is kicking his ass in fundraising.

Personally, to me he is just an affectionate guy, and kind of weird. Totally believe him when he says he did not mean anything but best intentions. I have to laugh about the media takedown of the guy though. I mean I can remember about 6 months ago when the media was 100% sure Kavanagh was a serial rapist based on a 30 year claim from a drunken party with no corroboration. So if we are to 'believe all women' that means eating our own sometimes too.

I also agree that if he was my employee and he put his hands on the shoulders of our administrators or a young engineer, I would have him in my office in 5 seconds. He seems like the kind of guy who calls waitresses 'sweetheart' and I think that is inappropriate.

Make paddleboarding great again!

agree sup leave--not appropriate--my wife's comment was that, if he's not doing it to guys, it is not cool--tho he does hug a lot of guys--i dont think he sniffs male scalps tho--that is a bit freaky

and we have eaten our own--franken, for example---aint no one eating the true transgressor, trump, tho--instead they're voting for him

most republicans are cool with having elected a pres who bangs pornstars when his wife's home pregnant--nbd
there's a whole list of shit theyre cool with....whatever...just the facts
