Southern California has only 2 breaks... Newport and La Jolla?
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

Having flown a DC-6 from Chicago to LA, Nightwing  ...these new modern nub'bers get me confused.

The NWS should stick at what they're good at; 'putting out broadcast signals almost nobody can hear'    I love BBC weather.  Skip the first 3min of his old one.

@ Wetstuff

After listening to the british gal give her forecast, I'm glad she doesn't give our marine forecasts for Galveston, Tx.  :o  Speaking of Galveston; at the link below, once on the page, in the little box (Select Station), where the small asterisk is, click on that, then scroll on down to Texas and then click on Galveston KHB40. This is the one I listen to for the coastal waters.

At least you can "understand" what this guy is saying unlike the british woman.  ;D

Of course in actuality, the NWS is NOAA as well, and every USA surf forcast is based on NOAA data and models. So they ARE the basis of surf forecasting.

+1 for Ponobill.
Insane how many people dump on NOAA when all your weather and buoy data come from them.  Very successful public/private partnership.  Almost too successful...no one understands where the data comes from.
Just because it's the government doesn't mean its ALWAYS bad.

Wait..... You mean Surfline is Fake News? Now it's starting to make sense... That 4'-6' is total BS most of the time ;D
