Southwest now flying to Hawaii with tickets from $49
« on: March 04, 2019, 11:16:56 PM »
If you need an excuse to visit Hawaii, Southwest is having some great introductory rates on their new West Coast to Hawaii flights:
https://www.southwest.com/Hawaii/

No need to bring your own board, at Blue Planet we have a big quiver of rental SUP's from $29 per day or $199 per week for epoxy SUP's: https://www.blueplanetsurf.com/blue-planet-sup-rental-reservation-deposit.html

Here is a list of recommended Hotels with SUP board storage:

Great list. Last time I stayed at a hotel in Wakiki it was the Outrigger, and they did charge for storage, but it was valet-style. If you called ahead they put it on the beach for you or carried it to your car. Not a service I really needed, but it was kind of cool. Next time I'll pick one of the "yes and free" hotels.

I stayed at the Kehala hotel (crazy expensive) on one layover visit and they looked at me and my stack of Blue Planet rental boards like I was obviously in the wrong place when I pulled up in the rental car. They were right. Great place if you want to stuff yourself and maybe walk into the water knee deep.

 A fun and easy trip.

Rented a board from Robert when I stayed in Waikiki last year.

So much easier than flying with my own board.

This will work out great for me.  Cheap fights via Soutwest and as are retired Navy vet I can stay at the Hale Koa.  Win win.

I used Nalu storage along with a BP board back in August, excellent!

Southwest has made it even easier to fly out on a whim now (Yay)

The folks at Blue Planet are terrific, we store our boards there and they drop them off at the Imperial In the board storage garage when we arrive and pick them up at the end of our stay. Can't say enough about their service and aloha. Great ambassadors for surf and Hawai'i
