Cannot say enough nice things about my Excel wetsuits.

2 ea. 4/3, 1 ea. 6/5, all with hoods, front zip, about $400 each.

Warm, holding up well, fit well (Larger Tall, for me, 188 cm, 75-80 kg).

Should have bought the 5/4 instead of the 6/5, probably.

I just purchased needEssentials 6/5/4 suit for $245.  Suit is warm and seems well made time will tell.  I would have preferred the 5/4 but they don’t offer it in xls.   suit is more flexible than my 10 yr old xcel infinity 5/4 so all good.  The 6/5 and 4/3 have a thermal lining not the 5/4.  Suit dries fast and is easy on/off.

You can only purchase the suits online, no logo on the suit at all.  Fit is good.

My QS suits have lasted 4 plus years.  (4/3 and 3/2) 4/3 is still in service.
I just replaced my 3/2 QS with a 3/2 Need Essentials last May.  Purchased at the boardroom in Del Mar. Been using it all winter and it’s holding up well. Fit is great. Warm enough for so cal.

I also have a 2mil Short sleeve Xcel that has lasted a long time. Great quality and fit.

One suggestion that’s pretty obvious for those with shoulder issues, you might consider a back zip. Initially I felt like Houdini trying to get out of my new chest zip NE suit.  Not a problem with the design just my bad shoulder.
