Looks like Digger took you to my favorite local spot.  Torrey Pines looked good this morning (Nice peeling waves, which is not usually the case).  I was ins Lajolla and was OK, clean anyway.

I saw you this morning down at dogpatch, i was chatting with Dave Daum from Kings when you walked up.  I wanted to introduce myself but you disappeared and I had to get to work.  Hope you got some good ones.
Hopefully next time. Thanx for saying something.

Great day at San Onofre. Amazing place. Most Zoners I ever met at once. Very cool! Really appreciate all the hospitality. That 10' Coreban TallDude lent me was a treat in the gentle peelers.

SOLOSHOT likes hat place!

Five days, five sessions, five spots in a row so far. My NJ connection out here hooked me up w/a retro longboard and we hit a spot in Carlsbad. Was pretty chilly, yesterday and today. Both dys I saw guys w/boots, gloves , and a hood. Brrrr!! But the stoke has been strong and alot of guys are out every day. Talked a bit w/a young guy yesterday in the water said he was here tentin' it in San Elijo State campgrounds. Said he'd come down from Long Beach.

SOLOSHOT fired off nicely in Carlsbad for us.

Me and Digger were diggin' it this morning. Leash broke, I had a long swim in, and my hands started gettin' numb, but still the stoke was strong. 6 days in a row now!

Lol...Gravy stoke is some potent stuff! Luckily at 60 mine is still pretty strong.

Double that on the 60+ stoke. Secret to keeping up the stoke as we age - don’t stop surfing, and you’re killin it.

Got a question looking at all the sessions you’re getting in.  How are you keeping the wifey from revolting?  For myself, the combo of a surf trip with the better half along has ended up with her bumming as I surfed many hours or me bumming as I didn’t surf enough.

How long are staying out there?

Ahh...the age old dilemma for us surfers w/non-surfing wives. Luckily here in CA the mornings are best and she runs while I surf. Granted she's usually only 90 mins and I'm more like 3 hrs but we have managed to stay happy. The remaining daylight hrs are reserved for time together boppin' around San Diego county.

I've not done one evening sesh though and the fomo has been a bit hard to handle missing the occasional evening glass-off. But I'm now 7 days in a row in the waves so lig. Also we've watched a girlie Netflix movie almost every nite. The girlie flicks have actually been quite entertaining and funny.

Yesterday we hit Torrey Pines glider port/Blacks Beach cliff access. She was SO scared to do the descent fearing a stumble would award her an injury. Luckily some ladies talked her into it.

Nice reporting on the trip Cookieman.... looks awesome!
Great that you got to tap the Zone connections and meet up with everyone  :)
Very cool that you get it all out timely!

I get so much footage and photos on my trip that I spend all my nites downloading and reviewing..... too tired to make anything of it.
The next day I get more..... I'm lost in images

Good for you Marc, nice pics!

Haha, Pono mentioning Belly Up and the Kraken brings back so many memories for me.  I lived in North County in the 80’s, worked at Fish House West (no longer there) which was right next to the Kraken.  That little stretch was called restaurant row, across the street was The Chart House and the Triton.  North County is so nice but last time I visited the traffic and crowds was an eye opener.

Wow! Deja' Vu all over again!

I worked at the Fish House West as a bartender in the 70's.... loved that place and everybody there!
Belly Up was a regular hangout along with Bully's.
Never went to Kraken much.... but it was there then as well.

Both me and my wife kept our clothes on. We are not a fan of public nudity. Some of the overweight older people sure enjoyed it.

Many years ago on St Martin, we had that same experience. There aren't caves dark enough for some of the people I can't unsee...

Ah Cookie.....SOOOOOOOO awesome!  Pic #1 is the best.  I can see Scripts pier in the background and La Jolla in the distance.....such fun times at La Jolla shores and just south (Tourmaline).  I feel the hankering for another work/play trip there!

I'll be honest, initially I thought your trip was gonna be a bust given the rain and incoming Pacific nastiness but holy cow it looks like you've been scoring in a big time way!!!  Stoked for ya!!!!

Love the pics and look foward to more...and of course some vids!

News flash:  Still cold back East but all good!!!  Next 3-5 days we've got waves...... 8) :o 8) :o 8)
