The first foil ban?

That I know of, how far will it spread is the question.  Watch where you foil and stay away from crowds.

Sydney's famous Bondi Beach BANS new surfing trend amid claims the board is 'too dangerous' in crowded waters

It takes a quiver to do that.

What idiots were foiling there? Have you seen Bondi? Go view a few YouTube clips.

Sad day for humanity that anyone needed to be told to not foil there.

Have surfed Bondi since around 73, it’s always crowded, maybe a few small breaks are isolated in the early AM but it’s a small beach and there’s 50 people paddling out in the dark every morning.
It’s not the place to foil unless it’s winter and blowing a gale.
This ban would cover all craft with foils, prone, SUP, kite, bodyboard.

Does anyone know if the Bondi Beach foil ban is still in effect and if it has spread to other locations?

This was inevitable and I dont see anyone making any changes.. I see fools on instagram pumping back out in a beginner lineup causing confusion for the person dropping in.. Swarms of prone foilers buzzing around..

In my opinion the foils have no place in any lineup, unless its a foil only lineup.

Nobody wants to address it cause we are all frothing so hard.

Yeah, but I live in SoCal and if there was going to be a problem it’d be here first.

So far we aren’t killing people.

This post is like two years old and the body count is still zero.

But you all remember when SUPs in the lineup killed all those kids in 2010, right? So sad that the fake news refused to cover the great SanO massacre.

I think we’re good here. Regulate your break and things will be fine. Like always.

Sorry if I seem reactive but I’m just trying to head off 200 foil hate threads like we had for SUP. hahahaaaa
