+1 Brent - The waves they are intended for I would not want to see when I was in the water.

Beautiful boards for a great waterman!
Let it come to you..

Talk about "guns" I don't want anything to do with these! SUPs for Kai.

10' 1" x 23" wouldn't be a gun by my standards.  More like a big laydown MAVS board.

But if you are micro sized, aggressive BOMBER like Kai who's willing to take off DEEP in the bowl - I guess that gets the job done.

King's Triple Treat looks interesting.

King's really needs to upgrade to a better handle IMO. Those old fashioned FCS handles are useless with gloves/mitts. I think you can have any handle you want if you go custom.
Nice board, but it doesn’t look very “gunny” to me.

Guns with that extra pointy look are designed for waves like Mavs or Jaws. Most of us don't surf anything bigger than double overhead. A true big wave gun would be impractical and probably wouldn't work well in the waves most of us surf, although it might look cool on the roof of your car.

Well I’ve got a couple of guns and they work very well in the fat slow offshore waves I get here. Sure, they don’t turn as well as a less gun-like board, but they make getting into waves easy, and making flat sections easy too, and I can paddle them for miles all day and catch many more waves than on a shortboard. The guys on short boards take forever to get out, and are knackered when they arrive, then struggle to get into the waves without leaving it so late that they are almost free-falling, and then only stay for 30 mins before having to paddle back because they are tired.

So I guess it just depends on your local spot. Sure, if you are at a beach break with short rides then a gun might not work well.

Mostly what I meant was that for smaller waves, the nose doesn't need to be long and stretched out like we see on big wave guns. A board can have a rounded nose and still be a gun. Guns are more about length than being pointy. Length gives you glide and control.

Nah, guns overwhelmingly are pointy at both ends, more so at the nose.
