Hi

Cross post with Seabreeze. Got my soloshot up and running and able to load soloshot edit on my 10 year old Mac. This beta edit program finds your rides, puts them in a highlight reel and from that you can select and edit those rides. Amazing!

Good to see some videos of sup surfing. You looked good out there. Almost had the entire place to yourself.

Thanks for sharing the two videos.

Thanks Zoners for your kind words!

I think the highlight for me was the little grom who just ripped a wave behind me on the last clip. It looked like his board was about 4-5 ft. He was out surfing with his mom who was giving him a bit of advice on wave selection. Very cool 😎. I got out this morning and a few good waves but closing out quickly. I will see if the soloshot picked up anything interesting.

Thanks Luc,

Yes the sea lions are amazing. I went too close in a touring kayak to a breeding colony very near to where that tour boat went down a few years ago. A big bull took exception to me and chased me out of his waters swimming a few feet behind me and barking like a big dog. My wife was yelling at me “paddle, paddle, paddle!”

Cheers

I did get out yesterday on North Chesterman. The waves were closing out quickly and the rides were short.......some very short! Took out my “small” board, 8’7’ Sunova Creek. It turns a bit quicker than the carving turns of the Speeed and I need to keep challenging myself with this step down is size. Still quite wobbly but it wasn’t too long ago that I found the Speeed wobbly and now it is comfortable even it big chop.

Cheers

FRP:  Very nice!!!!!!  Enjoyed watching all three vids!  You definitely whip the board to your right (front side) pronto!  And beautiful looking spot ya got there!

Love the color of the shorter Creek ya got.....very pleasing to the eyes.

Hi FRP! You've got the soloshot set up well and your videos are great. Your comment about challenging yourself with your shorter board is something I need to do more as I tend to go for the easier option of my larger boards instead of my 8'6 Super Frank Lean.
Keep up the good work with your surfing and filming!

Nice results from the SS3. Warms my heart to see others w/working SS3 bundles as there has been quite a few that just don't work at all. Also very cool to see some cold water stoke. The conditions in your second video are obviously much better w/long stretches of clean face for you to work with.
I see you're on the SS_app website/app. Definitely upload your SSedit vids there. It's nice to watch em w/out that HUGE watermark the beta pastes on there. and the more surfers we they get over there the better for SS business, which is kinda scary lately. If you go to the SS fb page it's really frightening all the hate that is there.

btw- As convenient and fast as the edit software produces  vids there's nothing like doing it yourself and adding all the personal touches. Case in point your ''May Chesterman Beach TOFINO'' edit had you riding w/that great music that fit your surfing rhythm perfect.

10 yr old Mac? WOW! My HP Envy laptop is four yrs old now and I'm so worried it's gonna die. /the battery is all messed up and if I unplug the laptop it shuts off in like two minutes!

I found ya! Need content!

One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

Thanks Mark

I will try using the Soloshot edit site for posting the videos. Yes the watermark is a bit of a distraction. I have had crazy good luck with my Macs. The darn things just won’t die. I have a PowerBook from 1991 that still runs. I think I only recently threw out all my old floppy discs! Keep those videos coming Cookie....you are an inspiration.

Cheers
