Board covers
« on: December 05, 2018, 09:25:44 PM »
Looking for suggestions for board covers.....my Foote stays on my truck most of the time. I don't want to bag it but want to get a good cover...the orange is fading to salmon (OK...Pink...  ::) )...suggestions?

That is what I use on all my boards. I never had a problem on the highway.

I see a lot of people using those. If your not stacking boards or piling them in a van, these do the job. I had one on my shortboard (as in prone shortboard) as in don't have it anymore. But it worked fine. I'd like to get one for my unlimiteds. I have 3 big the thick bags for unlimiteds and a 14' among various ones for my surf sups. The thick ones take up a lot of space when not being used. One of my unlimited bags will only fold into a 30" x 30" x 4' pile. PITA.  I'm thinking about either tossing it, or storing a board in it just to get it off the floor. Those Victory Coredry's probably fit in a little bag.
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I don't use.

The picture of the 12'6" show that it covers the bottom and rails but leaves most of the deck uncovered. I assume the 14' is the same. (?). I hope so; I would want to be able to access bungee clips. I like having a front line when I have something up top. Not so much for securing it as being able to tell if it starts shifting to one side or sliding forward.

I don't understand what you are describing but yes, the deck is open on all the Koredry board covers.

I purchased a similar product by VAMO from Paddleboard Specialists and I have  been very pleased with it. It fits snugly on my 14,  but is pretty soft and flexible material and I am sure it will go down the road at highway speeds without coming off or flapping too much in the breeze....though I haven't had a trip with it yet. I got it mostly just for sun protection and keeping bug droppings off, etc. I am trying to keep my Imagine Rocket as pristine as possible without resorting to a coffin bag which I find a pain to get my boards in and out of.

I grabbed a 10' longboard board sock and it works perfect, protection back and forth to the beach.
