One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

Another nice sup surfing video. Really enjoyed watching this one. Nice waves to surf.

I don't know how you people surf when the water is cold and the air temperature is cold too. It amazes me how people can do that even wearing wetsuits. I know when I'm cold, I don't like it. But when I'm cold and wet, I'm miserable.

Back to the video. From when your board was traveled down to the beach via your travel cart behind you bicycle, I'm going to guess it was your 9'11" Ripper.

Another thing I noticed, the quad fin setup. I like surf surfing my big 11'1" board with a quad fin setup too.

Just curious. Since I'm detailed oriented; if you don't mind me asking, after watching your footwork and how you bend your knees, what is your height and also what is your paddle length when surfing the board in this video?

As always, thanks for sharing your videos especially at this time of the year.

Yo, Night...The board in this vid is indeed my 9'11'' Ripper. Seems w/my bad hip these days it's the easiest for me to ride. Espesh in stiff offshores. I'm 6'0''/180 lbs give or take a coupla slices of pizza!
Why do you like the vids better this time of yr? i like em cuz the waves are better! But i hear ya on the cold. It def is a serious deterrent.

4/3 Exterra full/2mil five finger gloves/3mil boots/Beanie....was pretty warm but time for thicker rubber all around at this point.

I like seeing any sup videos at this time of the year because with late Fall and Winter coming on, sup videos are going to be "far and few inbetween".

Sitting by a nice cozy fire from the fireplace in my living room while I'm sipping on a "single" Tom Collins or a "single" whiskey sour (made with Maker's Mark whisky) along with eating some crackers, cheese, dip and summer sausage is what I like to do in the evenings at this time of the year. BTW, single means "one" since one mixed drink is my limit for the evening.

And if my memory serves me correctly, you've put on 10 lbs of weight since summer.

Good for you for controlling alcohol consumption. Me, I gave it up completely in 2000. Been a while now. Sh!t's poison. Never really liked drinking anyhows so it was way easy to stop.
10 lbs since summer? Maybe, I don't own a scale so I'm always estimating my weight.

Good stuff cookieman..... I enjoyed your video!
winter came early this year.
a few weeks ago I was trunking it.... yesterday full on 5 mm suit, hood, gloves, boots. yikes  :o

Last year I demo'd an 8'10 Creek, the day before Thanksgiving, in trunks.
It was windy, pouring rain, just plain nasty, but I was fine in a vest and baggies. What a difference a year makes.

I normally paddle flat-water through November in trunks.... but I was in a full suit last week.
