Nov South-easter
« on: November 13, 2018, 04:37:37 PM »
Check it out Zoners, we had a kickin' storm here in New Jersey and the forecast was for some solid surf. They got it right. Nice to get some winter juice b4 the real freeze gets here. Sh!t ton of rain w/this one and my backyard is flooded.

Hip hurts, right knee too. Still feeling strong though! Bunch of my early fifty-ish buds were out on their shortboards. They didn't get much except for some beat downs. Saw one of em bail and go over w/a beefy one. Quite challenging. A surfer on a longboard that I've known for decades was out and we took a wave together. I thought he was w/me the whole way but when we got to the beach he said he didn't have a chance and got really worked. Very fortunate to be on the Hull Ripper (Roy ;) ). It's alot easier to control than the Bamboo.

I thought it so good today I built a frame for the shots in Photoshop. lol...black, I guess that's contemporary style!

Flickr is lamin' out and putting a cap on photo storage at 1000. I have over 6000 on there dating back quite a ways. So I started using my Shutterfly account. Not as many features but unlimited storage.

One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

Those are some grinding waves, Cook, and you were slotted in perfectly.  Good surfing!

Hit the leftovers today in the same rubber and FROZE. Only lasted an hr cuz my fingers went numb w/2mil five finger glovies. And my 4/3 full was NOT holding back the brutal wind chills. It's a good full suit by xterra w/fleece lining but the 30F wind chills were just too much for it. And it only cost me $90. Shoulda went w/my 5.5/4 hooded full.

Awsome shots SC!

But, every time I see that Hull Ripper in the critical part of a wave, it reminds me that I need to pick up more supplies at Greenlight ;D
