15 inch track/fin box - plate mounts?
« on: November 12, 2018, 09:00:13 PM »
Hi,

I have seen some 15" track or fin boxes that seem to be "vintage" as in ripped out of old windsurf boards.  Also Calumet makes kite foil boards that have plate mounts that are 15 inches long.  Anyone heard of these being made or know where to get them?

Thanks!
Aloha, I welcome and appreciate all responses of positivity and good feeling.

Someone’s got to be making them again. I see them on foil boards on Instagram sometimes. I’ll keep an eye out.

Yeah, but do you want them....they are not Chinook, so going to be brittle or even worse, molded in two pieces and glue together. Yikes

Lots of under built stuff being thrown into the market due to a lack of long term experience building for foilers.

When I dropped by Chinook in July to get some mast tracks one of the guys said they were considering making some longer ones.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Thanks for the responses, gave me hope someone is making them.  Saw a post on Instagram of a prone board with these Bahne 15" fin channels:

Took about a month for them to arrive.
Aloha, I welcome and appreciate all responses of positivity and good feeling.
