A tremendous longboard style sup. I own the 9'6" x 31" which weighs 16.2 pounds. They also make some 10' which are narrower.

I have grovelled in one foot slop and paddled into some DOH hurricane swells.

Have owned a bunch of longboard style SUPS and this is the best of the bunch.

There are noserider specialty boards available, but the New Deal is hard to beat as a performance longboard.

No affiliation. Have owned Hobie, King's, and ridden JL.

Did a long review on Seabreeze a while back.

I took delivery two days after my SharkBoy incident and we had weeks of HUGE waves.

It goes GuD in all kinda waves!!

I have a 10x29 New deal and love the board, just as Cleveland mentioned its a long board style sup and perfect for sup surfing, especially for someone looking to make the transition from flat water to surf. Personally I’m looking at the 10x27 as my next board, slightly narrower and just as fun.

They do look like great boards! How does the 9'6x31 compare to the 10x29? I'm interested and excited in hearing how you get on - choosing a new board is great fun!!!

I recently got a custom New Deal.

9'6 x 29" x 4.5" 130 liters.

I wanted a more sustainable board, so I ordered it glassed by Earth Technologies in south Los Angeles.  This board uses bio-epoxy resin, vacuum bagged carbon, and a cedar veneer deck. See my attachment photos. The whole board weighs 15 lbs.

Absolutely love the board.  So easy to turn from the tail, including roundhouse turns. Easy to lean on rail and make a hard charging bottom turn, which is rare in a large SUP. And when a noseriding section comes up, it's so easy to walk to the nose. Stability on the nose is like standing on a sidewalk. It's eerie.

I highly recommend ordering a custom New Deal, for your dims and ability.  The price is still reasonable, and you get exactly what you want.  Infinity excels at custom boards. It's in their DNA.

My board also has a Greenough release edge shaped into the bottom. This is something I've been developing with Ry Harris. We've made a quite a few boards, and now have it adapted to work for SUPs. It's faster and looser, and makes it easier to sink the rail. All positives for surfing performance.

I'm stoked that Dave Boehne let me put this into the New Deal. Best of all possible worlds in SUP design. And another reason why it's so nice to order custom from Infinity.
