Why?

Event page still showing red, which means no swell on the horizon for the next 10 days, right? So what do you know that we don’t?

Well they will run the event if the swell is 10’+ During the holding period. I just heard a report that the swell expected to hit Friday may not produce :(

That's too bad.

Isn't Aquatic Park to Ocean Beach the reverse of the course in years past?

Funny thing is, they could hold this event almost any day in the winter at Ocean Beach and have a heavy water contest.

Well, at least women have had the opportunity to be equalled disappointed this year.

Shame, for those of us who watch more races these days than we compete in, this was going to be one of the highlights of this season. I was looking forward to being made to feel a feeble wuss by eg. a 16 year-old girl :)

Report was the waves were up to Double Overhead and great on Friday afternoon.

No reason they couldn't have run it Friday?????

The Mavericks Opening ceremonies probably conflicted that was started at pm Friday but only ceremonial.
