Road Trip Score!
« on: October 05, 2018, 10:53:18 AM »
Never surfed here before, so I didn't set up the SoloShot.
Bigger than it looks.

Un-named break, somewhere in New England :)
The locals showed respect, so I will respect them.

Was that the other day when you called?

I almost got killed getting out there at high tide if it's where I think it is.....one of my favorite spots to spearfish when I was a kid.

Total score. Clean right :) :)
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

Yes.... super fun!

@ Bobby... no, I never went out that day. Total bust.

@Bean
It is a Sunova custom 9' x 31
I have been riding it in different conditions since I brought it back from Thailand.
While it was awesome in low power waves, I held back my thoughts on it, till I could surf some quality waves.
Today, I asked Tino to consider it for a new model. It totally rocks  :)

Nice wave and I thought you were gonna smash that board into the rocks at the end.

Nice video and surfing.  I really like the sounds of the water when you are turning.

Also, when you say "got it" and "yep" - that helps.

The camera makes that board look a lot narrower than 31"s.
I was wondering.

@ creek

That was some good waves to ride. Those locals at that "un-named place" have a very good place to surf. Nice long rides with some big rollers.

BTW, I especially liked your comments near the end of the video. Your "feet are bleeding" and the "20 minutes of hell" gave me a few chuckles. Sometimes if you take a wrong way back, Murphy's Law will make you pay.  ;) Been there, done that myself with Murphy.

Nice! Lookin' good, Creek. I like that split blue and wood inlay on the custom. But that boulder field exit looked sketch.
One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"
