I will try and be there! Waves might be half decent in the afternoon too, and you can surf right next to the competition!!

seems waves will be limited at best--today is flat slop--tomorrow 9am thru noon may be a dribble---sunday gon be lake atlantic

i would go, if only to meet the rock stars, but ill be in nj for the wknd, sitting with a family member in hospice

Oops, my pleasure!
Didnt find out till I spent $70 to fill it.
Had to drive it below 1/2 to stop it.
1 drop a minute, so took a few days to figure I had a leak.

Since my go to move in the surf is getting hammered for the first 30 minutes, I can
definitely see how the 9'1 would complement my favorite move
If nothing else that should be creek's comic relief in between heats.

Creek. You can get a stick of gas tank putty at most auto parts stores. It's for a temporary fix, but I've used it once for over a year.

Turns out I will be headed home this evening. If anyone knows where the pros will be feeding/ drinking tonight, pls post. Love to meet these folks.

And I will show up with gear tomorrow, if only for drill. Lake Atlantic tomorrow.

Today tho looks not so bad on cams. Stream seems to be on hold but ims keep checking.

And creek if you’re hungry/thirsty tonight somewhere, hit me, I’ll see if I can get there.

Good to see creek today!
Very gracious of him to let me zone out on his boards for 2 hours.

Tried both the Creek 9.1 and the Acid 9.4. The creek is definitely the
Better board for my needs. The extra volume Rick added to the nose
allowed me to ride it like a much bigger board and generate speed on those
Crappy waves we had. When I switched to the Acid and tried to trim the board to
generate Speed moving forward, the Acid took a 2 feet dive, I was very close to
Stick its nose in the sandbar

Needles to say the board turns on a thought alone. No need to touch the tail
On small waves.

The Creek 9.1 had similar stability as the bigger board, even though shorter and
Narrower (same exact volume though @136)

I’m opting for the 9.4 though,at 148 liters it will no doubt allow me to catch
pretty much whatever comes my way and generate enough speed on flat sections.

On the Blue/Green Creek calling party wave on Zane Schweitzer wave

As a bonus, I got to see some creek surfing action on the Acid.

You did great on both, but I agree.... There is no downside to a bit of extra size!

I did the same thing. Pabst and I thought the contest was over after the race started so we jumped into the empty contest area and got the best waves of the day. Then the kids heat came out and we had to get out of there 😂😂
They were the first nice waves I got all day. Stoked 😃

I did get to surf earlier with Kai Lenny which was awesome. Pabst split a wave with him.

Both boards were on the water all day so a good mini demo!

Eastie, I just got back from the after party. Lots of fun
Pabst won the wooden paddle signed by all the pros.

ya i got hung up in nj--wouldnt have made it to LB in time

tried to check the stream a bunch of times yesterday and there was something wrong

anybody got a link that works to review yesterday's heats (incl burchas' cameo!)?
