An old friend of the family is doing an extraordinary thing for a great cause. Mike Capozzoli (Capi) started his walk across the country over 200 days ago. He's walking to raise funds to create shelters for children that are fleeing domestic abuse that are also pet friendly. If you're an animal lover imagine a kid having to flee from that horror and being forced to leave the pet you love behind.

I'm going in to Boston Monday to meet him along with who knows how many others. Meeting under the Citgo sign at 11:00 AM and walking the last leg to Fenway Park.

Yeah, back when Mickey (my late brother David's best friend) was starting I told him that I'd donate a buck per mile, but only if he made it all the way to Fenway Park. The little bastard did it. That's a lot of pennies. Oh well, I'd just piss it away on beer. My donation is in memory of David James Babcock. I think about him almost every day. Miss you, ya big lug.
