Are you having this shaped or buying a board labeled "Pearson Arrow"?

When I started SUP surfing I bought a "Pearson Arrow Custom Epoxy  Laird ".   It has the shape you see on surftech Lairds and other older  Lairds and it was a good board to get started with.  Has nice thinned out rails that let you hold a trim going down steep waves but turns pretty well for an aircraft carrier.  It's a stable paddling platform in choppy stuff.  Mine is too long to turn quickly to catch waves  and it feels like it has zero rocker so you always feel like you are going to pearl on beach break waves.  (Have never hit bottom with the board nose so maybe the rocker is not an issue.)  Drawbacks are construction.  The topcoat is not epoxy but some kind of cheap polyster coating that smells really strongly of chemicals for a long time.  It chips off if you just set the board down on a hard surface.  The fin boxes are not glassed in properly.  I have seen Pearson Arrow labeled boards that are obviously surftech, some that look like mine with the cheap polyster top coat, and some that look like real epoxy boards.   So my advice is if you are buying a used board or buying from a surf shop at a good price, be suspicious of the construction.

If he is willing to do one, I'd go for it, probably one of the finest longboard shaped sups out there. I had heard that he wasn't taking custom SUP orders but that might have changed. If you do order one I'd love to hear about how it turns out.

I am selling a 10 foot Bob Pearson.  All by Bob,  His hands only.  Very thin rails and turns like heaven.  Nose rides like nobody's business.  I am in Florida.  PM me if you are interested.

What shape?

I've thought of a Bob Pearson CJ Nelson style noserider - less rocker in the nose than the Pearson Laird
- square tail and probably more bladed rails - might have to be wider for SUP balance with the thinner bladed rails.
Probably a faster easier paddler.

These used to be all over LA and Kauai. (I wonder why?) great shapes, great boards from what I’ve seen. The handshapes are well foiled and available every size. I saw an 8’6” that loooked like a regular longboard.

I've got a PB 9'6" that's the only real surf SUP I hung onto after the great "loyal-to-the-foil sup quiver reduction sale of 2018".

Kept it for all the reasons mentioned wrt nicely foiled to almost nothing nose and tail that makes it nose ride, and turn like nobody's business. Really fun board that works in almost all conditions from knee nothing to overhead runners...she'll be around for a long time for sure.
Me: 6'1"/185...(2) 5'1" Kings Foil/Wing Boards...7'10 Kings DW Board...9'6" Bob Pearson "Laird Noserider"...14' Lahui Kai "Manta"...8'0" WaveStorm if/when the proning urges still hit.

Let us know what you find out.  Even his original customs were branded Pearson Arrow and Laird.  Many of my friends and I have had Laird Pearson Arrows and love them--potato chip thin nose, low volume and amazing to surf.

I saw what I think was a newer one in the surf that was no longer branded Laird and had a different shape.  Kind of looked like the board in this picture:

A while back I picked up a used Surftech version of the 10 X 28.5 X 4 Laird Pearson Arrow (wide nose, pintail, thin rails). It's probably 7 or 8 years old and I still can't believe how fun and responsive it is. They got it right, early on.

I have a buddy that has a couple of his customers.
He swears by them.
The one he in riding the most is a twin fin.
