There was a race in Gloucester today. Woke up and my antique carcass refused. Leave early to compete in longer course cuz I have a 14' board. Thanks but no thanks.

There is a beautiful spot in Danvers that I went to for peace and quiet.

And just for fun, no leash, no pfd, no heart rate monitor strap no nuttin'! Well I did not skinny sup, but this was the first time in four years that I went full on minimalist.

lol...off da grid! No leash is such a great feeling of freedom. Can't speak for the heart monitor though! Reminds me of a big day yrs ago when I drove like 5 miles to a more pumping break to srf some sizable/powerful winter srf and forgot my leash. Pre-sup days so had my spec-ed out lngbrd that was shaped for winter barrels. Decided to jump in w/out the leash and made like 6 beauties in a row. Then, as luck would have it, bad luck that is, misjudged a gnarly kickout and the board went over w/a big lip. Busted the tail right where the channel and fin box lined up. Still have that board although it's 12 yrs old now and quite heavy. She tackled the beasts!
