TRACE Up - Wanted

Does anyone have a TRACE that they would be willing to sell or give away?

These are notoriously hard to find now.  I have gone through 3 of them. 

First one cracked, was replaced.  Second one (Probably refurbished) eventually battery didn't last more than 45 minutes.  3rd one (From PonoBill) is still trucking but oddly it dumps 3 minutes of data from every 10 minutes (don't ask how I figured it out).

Any way you cut it this device still delivers the most accurate surf tracking available @ 5 readings per second.  Way outperforms RipCurl and others (e.g. iPhone and iWatch applications) and I NEED THE DATA.

Any help / offers would be appreciated.

Mine melted around the USB charging Port.
THIS WAS THE SECOND CHARGE FOR ME..
Won't charge the third time.
I called and sent emails..no response.

Turns out they are a few blocks away so I'm going to stop in..

I don't expect much but I feel the need to face to face..

Guys name is David Lokshin.  He and I were friendly at the beginning.  I was/am like his biggest advocate for all the data I have gotten out of the thing on surfing. 

I think his business model has shifted.  More sports like soccer, or maybe he had to get a day job.

Until further notice TRACE was the best surf tracker made.

A bit pricey at $200 compared to getting (almost) an apple watch.  Let us know how it goes.

I agree with all of that - I also like them because they sent me on a trip to Tavarua from a contest with Trace. I loved mine, but I went through a few of them, last one stopped in the middle of a kiteboarding session in the Bahamas.

Mine stopped uploading a year ago and they sent me instructions to download the new firmware but was having issues doing it on my Mac. I would love to use it again on new equipment but need some help so maybe I'll drop in as they are nearby. I love all the data Trace captures and I haven't seen anything else that comes close.

I'll ask around Beasho and see if anyone wants to sell theirs.

Update.
Turns out they did help some.
The CTO suggested I put vinegar into the USB port to soak.
Couple days later it cleaned up.
Now there are some glitches.
When I am charging the green light is supposed to flash and turn solid when fully changed.
It is solid green...at 30%...a while later it is now 60%
Good news is is is charging and I can use the app to see it's % of charge.

Yeah, it works fine for me....maybe delete your search cache, and Google will let you go there instead to your most searched entries. 

This is what I still get when I click the above link....

When I posted it they said they had two left, now is showing "Currently unavailable" so it looks like that's no longer an option either.
