Laird brought one of those on a Mentawais trip a few years ago. Serious. Don’t think it was surfed just used for flat water goofing around..

Nope. I got to try one about five years ago. Pretty easy to make them go, and fun, but once you're down you're done. It's really the biggest limitation other than there's nothing you can actually do with them. The efficient wing was the inspiration for the Geezer foil. If my downwinding attempts in the Columbia don't start bearing fruit soon there will need to be a Geezerfoil III.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.
