Thanks for the video, Rick. That looks like big time fun.

I've been riding my 14' Bullet in those same type of conditions for
years, and always leave the water feeling happy with the bigger board.

Your Search looks a lot easier to handle though! Nice, smooth style.

Wow, absolutely love the video production of this vid. The combo of the SoloShot, and the GoPro along with the music choice outstanding...not to forget the really fun looking fun stuff you had to play on that day. So well done all the way around...loved it!

Very nice, we typically have nice little longboard waves like that in the mornings in the summer, but this summer it's been a bit off, while we've had some nice little swells, a lot of the days in August/late July have been rainy in the mornings and up and down wind wise.

I'm glad your SS3 is working out, I hope mine is fixed now, always tracked well, just have issues with proper recording. You really do put together some nice videos, I'm thinking of taking one of my buoywear floating hats (http://www.buoywear.com/) - these work really well by the way, and sacrificing it to make a kook cam hat.

The music was perfect Creek. You would have fit right in with those Waikiki Beach Boys. Gracefully throwing that heavy board around and enjoying the pure glide.
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

Those were some beautiful small offshore rollers. I'm a big fan of those types of waves on a long sup. I know I would be in seventh heaven riding those small rollers on my 11' sup with a quad fin setup (2, 5") (2, 4").

And the photography was outstanding too. I watched the video in full screen mode and the hawaiian background music was absolutely perfect. It gave me a nice laid back feeling.

BTW, you looked pretty nimble surfing those waves on your Sunova 14' Search.

Thanks for sharing this beauty of a video.  8)

Not really much of a sacrifice..... just a 1/4" hole drilled in the back of the brim.
Interesting hat.... a floating Kook Hat would take it out of the "Kook" realm, where I reside  ;D
but.... without a chinstrap it's going to keep you busy after wipeouts....

@JEG
we do one way downbreezers here... been up to 35-40 mph winds, but where waves don't build up.
It's fun but I am always looking for pure glass.... and creeks  ;D

I am super stoked to get more surf sessions on this board!

Last I checked, Matunuck Surf Shop had a 12' Search on sale..... I'd love to try that one!

Wow, you're definitely gettin' your money's worth from the SS3 now! 'Bout time. Good to see it finally comin' together. Nice cruzee cross steppin', Creek! And I thought I had the largest sup sessions this summer when I hopped on my neighbors 11'6" Rivie single fin. Would love to try that Search. you sure make it look effortless and fun.
One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

Love it...always one of my favorite things to do on my 14'er. Come down and well do brown's and the river. I bet that Search surfs better than my Vec. I like how refined the rails are on it. Does it get hard to control when the rail buries? I have to fight the Vec sometimes....without affect too often.

That was a good one Creek!

Riding a 12 foot plus board in small, long, peeling waves really gets to the core of why people enjoy surfing so much.
