this just in....

"Cape Cod Oldtimers Surfing Contest" outlaws the leash!
Surfers were forbidden from wearing leashes, in this biggest of all contests.

The authorities were notified and are on the case  ;D


Wow Rick, no leashes and no wetsuits either. That warm water must be nice.

i wear a leash out of habit...glass flat or big waves. when i see someone without a leash, regardless of their skill level, i generally move away from them because it seems like an accident waiting to happen. but if something did happen, the notion of contacting a lawyer about it is incomprehensible. but with the prevailing motto of the personal injury law industry being: 'if you know anyone with money, contact us, we'll get you their money!', it's no wonder so many do.
