Love my Hippo Stick
« on: August 06, 2018, 03:05:48 PM »
just wanted to say I'm am very happy with my decision to purchase a Hippo Stick paddle, I went with the Al Exp 8.0 model, its a carbon fiber composite blend and seems to be getting the job done for now. I was getting a little confused with all the tech stuff on some other paddle makers and these guys seemed to keep it simple, time will tell. Also representing my Ducks on the water as well. ;)...

Yeah, I have the full carbon Al Pro 8.0, and I'm pretty happy with it, no issues cutting it down, etc. I'll probably try the Blurr at some point, because I do want a bit smaller of a blade based on conditions, etc.

I have the AL pro 8.25 the paddle is a beast. This is my sprint paddle. I am 6'4" and 210lbs. I have this paddle cut at 73 inches. yes that is short.  I love this paddle great for surfing as well.

Yeah, my Al Pro is cut to 72 inches (I'm 6'0") like the handle fit. The Blurr is definitely next, I could probably stand to use a smaller blade.
