Rental recommendation on Maui and/or Oahu??

Last few years we've been doing Christmas in Hawaii. Kind of a stress reliever... in many ways.

Usually hotels, but thinking about a house or condo this year. 

Any specific recommendations?     (Before I start wading through the internet : )

Maui probably prefer the West side... keeps the kids entertained.

Oahu - south shore's the preference.

In that case, check out Kaanapali Shores on Maui (closer to Lahina), privately owned units but professionally managed.  Rented a nice two bedroom on the first floor, very easy to get boards in and out.  I would actually consider buying a condo there.

On our way back to Oahu in a few weeks and as in the past we will be playing tourist at the Hilton HI Village in Waikiki,  so not much help for you there.   I will be using Nalu board storge to have access to my board for my early dawn patrols (and possibly dusk patrols) at Queens and Canoes.
