That's the first time I've ever heard the words hate and dolphin it the same sentence. But that launch right at the surfer is pretty frightening. If it happened to me I'd hafta change my board shorts.
Had a visitor the other day...never gets old. my favorite marine mammal ever. Sorry seals and whales.

One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

I don't know about Dolphin hate

but SEALS love me I'm a seal magnet...One of the reason I don't go up to CC and surf with my buddies SUPTHECREEK or MR.BIG (Particularly Mr.B) and everyone else.

No desire to be nibbled/bumped by those BIG GW's

That had to hurt. I wonder if the surfer and/or the board suffered any hurt and/or damage?
