Newport SUP Cup 2018 is happening

Yeah, stoked that Clean Ocean Access stepped up to keep it rolling. Coastal Urge was sold a couple months ago and the new owner said he didn’t have time to hold the Newport SUP Cup this year (probably not in the future either). Great event and good options for rec or “more serious than rec” paddlers. I’ll be there for sure.

Had me thinking back to the 1st time we met John. I might have to come down for it even if it's not to paddle.....this is something I can support. I had a bad taste in my mouth for it when Coastal Urge was running it.

It happened and was a great event!

KDOG and his lovely wife crushed it. Hardware and Landshark suds.

No ICD shocks, no sharks, no seaweed, no wakes ( except for some highly evolved folks who swamped a few).

Finished fifth in short 14'. First (ONLY - this is a feeble attempt at a joke) in the packed over 70 division.

Afternoon after party overlooking a well known reef break!
