Added a hand crank winch and a quick release to our bungee towing/pulling/launching system.  Had a good time lots of pulls.  Really interesting to see someone 160lbs. go and then someone 200lbs. on an identical setup.  Actually convinced me to buy another bigger wing.

We did 3 days at a reservoir in Truckee and left the buoy, anchor, and bungee in the water overnight.  Figuring it's Tahoe and crime is really low.  On the 4th day the bungee was gone, paddled all over the lake looking for it and no clue what happened to it.  It was fun while we had it.
Aloha, I welcome and appreciate all responses of positivity and good feeling.

Nice bungee rig! To bad the bungee went mia.
One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

Quite an elaborate set up. How long does it take to deploy after each run?

I think I would have just looked for a cheap 5hp boat on CL.

Wow, that's a cool setup, too bad the bungee went missing.

Thanks.

After each run about 5 minutes to retrieve the handle and reconnect to the winch line, longer if the wind is howling offshore.   Then cranking the winch depends on how energetic the operator is, best guess is 5-10 minutes.   The process is pretty fast and yet it's kinda like paddling out to the peak, might need or want to rest before catching the next one...

I haven't done it myself, but I've seen some local people doing this around here right off the beach.

Seems like a streamlined solution to all the ropes, bungies and anchors.
