Gofoil humming problem

I could be all wrong on this account but the humming caused by resonant vortices occuring behind the wings or mast may be caused by the near perfect symmetry and shape of the some of these mass produced foils.   I hand made several foils and wings for SUPing and have never had to deal with vibrational humming issues.  I've often felt it may be due to the increased number of imperfections present in the foil surface from the backyard building processes.  I'd love to hear anyone elses take on it.

My Iwa and Maliko200 hum very loudly. The Iwa starts around 4mph and does it until around 13mph, then just stops. Starts again after 14mph but a little quieter. Got a similar reply from GoFoil as scubasteve.

Imperfections sounds logical when you consider this....Futures fins Alpha models have dimples molded into the surface near the trailing edge to prevent humming.
