Catchin' A Break
« on: May 16, 2018, 07:53:52 PM »
Sure glad I brought my V-Box to Costa Rica last winter! It was pretty easy to travel w/an 8'1" in an  8'6" board bag. The Dakine Regulator Recon II easily carried my V-Box and my 6'6" fish.

One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

Now that left me with a smile. Though I’d be bummed to travel so far to find a crowd, it didn’t seem to phase you.

Those small fast tubes are difficult and a bit dangerous on a sup. You’ve got to commit to the pull in, but when it shuts down the sup board is big and close by during the spin cycle. Broke my nose twice like that.

Thanks for the sojourn.

Thanks cookieman, nice vid!

Looks like a great trip.... always iffy when you go for a few weeks, looks like you scored!
Beachbreak life  ;D ......Personally, I'd have stuck with the outer reef.... that looked fun and uncrowded! :)

Looks like crunch time at the shore break.  Even the kids with the fast reflexes are eating it.

Nice video.

If I tried sup surfing those waves, I'd be "black and blue" all over with a "shade of purple" thrown in for good measure.  ;)

That was FUN! You scored! Loved the leg burner. Always get my biggest smiles on longest waves.

Cool you guys stoked on my video, J, Creek, NW, cheater, and stoney. It was a crazy trip that year. Why "Night Wing"? cool user name!

Ouch! Check this wave out at the 05:00 min mark in my video, surfinJ. I was definitely worried pulling into that one! One of the best days ever on my V-Box. Wanna foil ride that board.
