Very interesting. I'll have to buy a couple--one to use, one to break.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Just replaced a couple of longboard leashes last week and found that these are only available in 6' at the moment.  Seems like they would be more resistant to fin cuts for sure.

Was wondering myself..."But will it SUP?" Maybe that it's only available in one 6' length, and shown only on potato chip light short boards might be our clue. Looks like a fancy bungy cord, and all I could think of was the recoil from a stretched bungy at the end of an 15-25+ lb board after going away in heavy surf.  :o
Me: 6'1"/185...(2) 5'1" Kings Foil/Wing Boards...7'10 Kings DW Board...9'6" Bob Pearson "Laird Noserider"...14' Lahui Kai "Manta"...8'0" WaveStorm if/when the proning urges still hit.

Nice to see someone push up the hill a bit.  I wonder how many sales it would take to get this into the black?   ...the 'thane guys would likely lower their price, or not.  Still, good effort.

I like this one also  ...as the recipient of a number of damaged boards.

i want a Freedom leash! Mostly "Inner Impulse Buying" dude speaking here. Also inner need new/latest tech dude. I almost always use a 6' leash on my V-Box and Blade, unless it's seriously macking out there. That flexi-Hex surfboard packaging in on the list too.
One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

SC, that's a great point, I do use a 6 footer on my V2. (With the rail saver it's over 7')

o got a giggle from the "rigorous team testing"---like those guys could all surf leashless--unlikely there is ever serious leash-stress team riders---chip-boards and they never fall!!

I was psyched to get one of these but then watched Goofyfoot George's review on YouTube.  No real benefits or weight savings over a regular leash.   Probably not worth paying double but I'll get one anyway 'cause it looks cool and I am always looking for an excuse to get new gear.

Well, FCS need to do something, for sure. For a while now their leashes have been falling behind other brands IMO, especially in terms of potential SUP use. Balin, O&E etc have been producing more products suitable to our market of late, I think. The FCS racing leash for instance was a great idea but it was not implemented well.

I like the silicone strips in the cuff. My biggest annoyance with leashes are when they spin around your ankles. Creatures has one like this but I can never find them in stock at the local shops.

I'll agree with going with a shorter leash, I don't understand the whole 10' leash thing unless you are in some really big stuff.

I go with the Ocean&Earth Premimum 6', love it, has a little spring to it, so watch it on the rebound, but it's strong and 6' is a good length.
