New board.
« on: May 22, 2018, 06:19:08 PM »
I picked this up this morning, just in time for the new south swell filling in.

9'3"x33" @160 liters. With those numbers, I call it a SimSup with extra cheese. It has very foiled out rails and a nice thin tail. Surfed some great waves on its very first day in the water. It hardly ever happens that way.

Congrats on getting your new board and posting pictures of it. I have a hunch you'll be sup surfing it during the next few days.

Nice!  I'll bet those thin rails sink easy and turn well.  Love the evolution in the L41 boards.

Sweet looking sim sup. The slightly pulled in tail is appealing.

And really dig the fins.

New board on the same day as a new swell.

How cool is that?

Good luck w/the new rip stick. She's a beauty!
One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

Nice one southwesterly!

Come back and give us a full report!

I had something similar to your new board a few years back. Mine was 8'10', 33 across, volume 159.

I like yours better  8)

i think i have had 17 boards (surf and sup) and NEVER has there been swell within the first couple days of getting it.

I'm pretty sure I could ruin the entire east coast hurricane season if I bough a board every week from Sept - Nov... :o :o 8) 8)

Sorry, I don't want to rub it in Mr. Jerz, I only want to report it because it NEVER happens that way.

Today was my 8th day in a row on it. The first 7 were with a solid south swell. With each good wave, day after day, I got it more dialed in.

This morning was a small windswell. I found out that it is also a good groveler in tiny surf.
