Puerto Rico SUP rentals Isla Verde, Carolina?
« on: April 21, 2018, 11:10:04 AM »
Spending a short half a day in PR next month and would like to rent a board and try out the surf around Isla Verde beach.

Just wondering if there are any rental places on or near the beach that would make for a quick afternoon surf session?

Oh and any tips on that break or area would be appreciated too.

I was just there for business this week black outs and all.
Usually Tres Palmas surf shop in Ocean Park would have boards to rent but they have yet to reopen post hurricanes.  You might try contacting Playero who have a store near Isla Verde

If you do find a board there are some good outer reef breaks around Isla Verde and  Ocean Park   They were firing this week.
Hobie Raw 8'10"
Jimmy Lewis Kwad 8'7"
Naish Hover 95 liter 5'7"
F-One Rocket foil board 5'5" 90 liters
Fanatic Aero 1250, 1500, 1750 HA foils
CabrinhaMantis 3.5, 4m 5m. F-One Strike 7m CWC
Hobie 14' race board

Thanks for the info.

Playero doesn’t rent boards but they gave me a contact.  I will report back after my trip.

Only had one afternoon there and it was windy, but I went out anyway.

There are several places that rent boogie boards and foam surf boards on the beach.  There is one (Pine Grove Surf Club) that rents SUPs.  There is a shore break over a sandy bottom and further out is a break over a coral reef.
