Conditions looked pretty mixed up from the footage on Caspers FaceTube page.

I don't get why he did it when it's so cold. I guess he has a heavy program in summer months.

He was intentionally doing this for the "Winter Crossing" record.  I am not sure what kind of paddle craft the "Winter Crossing"  record was done in previously, but this is apparently the first SUP crossing.  I got that from listening to a Danish news reporter,  I can understand Norwegian and usually Danish mostly, but I did not understand about the "Winter" record.  I heard the broadcast when he as about 10 K from Kristiansand and they said he was in agony with severe pains in his arms, legs and back but kept on going.
