is it a charity benefit or something?? like can it be written off??

and for 10k, how many waves can one expect?? i mean i heard it takes several minutes to settle down btwn waves. how many ridaable waves does it produce per hour? would joe 10k be the only surfer, or would there be several joe 10k's? can one joe 10k drop in on another? is it every joe 10k for himself in an aggro lineup?? too funny

closest to this is heli-skiing, but that's a lousy grand per day.

i will be shocked to learn that many people sign on--seems we're talking 10k for like max 5 waves??

are sup surfers allowed to be joe 10k's??  since we're going to line up for this??!!!

As someone who a LONG TIME ago was in the wave pool biz
10k actually sounds about right first that equipment has cost a lot of $$$$$ to developer design and get running Plus the cost of operation can’t be cheap and then down time (repairs) ain’t cheap
Add in all the extras and you got a deal

Compare 10k ( what the cost incl airfare Ext to go to tavarua or mentawanis?)can you get a spot anywhere in n the world with a garentee of Perfect waves for your ability?
Comparing to surfing the wave at the end of your street 10k is pretty expensive
Just my 2 cents
Plus when there are more of them prices will drop

they'll get it because its the first public offering with MASSIVE exposure so far.

'average' Joe Silicon Valley , Weekend Cowells Beach surfer that runs a hedge fund / tech co will be the audience.  They will get a professional video im sure and that one framed action shot picture they can brag about in the office forever.

chump change to a select few.

Makes me think of the first flat screen TV's when they first came out, who could afford those?
It takes a quiver to do that.

For half that you could surf 10 days with Sunova in the Maldives, room and board included.
Ask Creek how.

And now we’re practically surfing on them😁

As far as tax write offs go, unfortunately the new tax law pretty much kills any deductions for entertainment.

I think even I could get a barrel in those clones. Need fund raising/crowd sourcing BIG time.  :P
One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

But TOM
Can Creek absolutely garrantee that quality of wave and even if they could the time commitment for some makes it impossible to do Maldives  but Lemoore Ca makes that quality of wave accessible
I think the flat screen analogy is spot on

Absolutely, if this takes off and others enter the market, the price has to come down.

I wonder, will more existing-surfers be drawn away from the natural lineups to the wave pools or will the wave pools create new-surfers that will spill over to the natural lineups?   I honestly think it will be imperceptible.

yep the price will go down over time, but it needs to go down a lot to get any real following

i still ask--

how many rideable waves does the system produce per hour?

what's the minimum number of surfers required to have the most waves surfed per hour?

how many 10k paying surfers will share the system for a given hour?

According to this, 12 waves per hour, 6 lefts and 6 rights.

Well, I guess this puts the cost of living in Hawaii in perspective if I'm getting 2k worth of waves in the morning before work.
