Slightly off topic, but what's the best adhesive for re-sticking a deck pad that's starting to peel in a couple spots along the rail? After reading this thread, I don't want to let this get any worse and have to deal with a full deck-pad replacement! 

I know, right!  Hopefully someone with first-hand experience will respond, but I have heard of folks using marine contact cement.  I think this is the one but I have never tried it:

When I removed my old pad I used a multitool and sheared the old foam portion off like a sheep. Then goo gone heavily followed by a layer of plastic for a few hours. The adhesive came off easily with a plastic scraper at that point. Key is to lock in the chemical you are using so it doesn't dry and has a chance to soak through.
