Naples Downbreezer
« on: February 07, 2018, 05:25:17 AM »
So this past Sunday we had S winds around 15-20 mph. It was a great opportuinity to get on the water for some mellow action. Beautiful sunny day with temps in the 70s. Water was around 63F. I started on my allstar and somewhere midrun switched to fanatic falcon (courtesy of James - FloridaWindSup). I never tried falcon before but it has proven to be an amazing dw shape for our conditions.

That was a fine down winding video. Beautiful weather, good water and wind conditions. Loved seeing the panoramic views from your camera as well. BTW, I thought you chose two nice background songs for your video.

Thanks for sharing.

@Night Wing - thank you !
@burchas - thanks my friend! Yes GP6 is a notable improvement over 5. Image stabilization alone is well worth the price. And falcon almost blew my mind - it was unexpectedly great. Looks are deceiving.
@JEG - thanks! yes it worked amazingly well for me in those conditions. Would like to get into 4+ ft bumps on it. Wanna see my times per mile.

Gzasinets. Not sure how I missed this video, but you nailed it! Awesome stuff. Great tunes and great glides  :D. When I was in Sydney, Australia downwinding in Sept 2016, the seriously good people were on Fanatic Falcons, where it seems to be the downwinding board of choice (before dug outs became the norm last year) so it is good to hear your experience. The conditions in your vid look a lot like ours in Hong Kong. Nice
