Fun Week in NJ

Hey guys- Had 2 fun days in NJ this week- and as a bonus a nature photog was taking some pictures of wildlife and some of the guys in the water both days and shared them with me by email.

The smaller Longboard day i had some of the better cross-stepping and noserides in a while.  I was soooo stoked that maybe there would be pictures.

When i was chatting with the guy- (not a surfer) I asked if he got any good pictures.  He said-" yes some really clear ones but alot that were ruined because either your legs were crossed or your were moving to the front of the board."

hahaha...i explained that was kinda what I was trying to do... we had a bit of a laugh and then he mentioned- oh I deleted them as I went along!

Anyway- heres the ones he sent over.  Enjoy!

Always nice to score some fotos from a "Real" photographer (as opposed to the SOLOSHOT). It's like finding a $20 bill in an old sweatshirt pocket! Too bad he deleted the cross step shots! I never did learn how to do that proper. The surf was firing here on 1/30 & 31. I was all set to charge on the 31st but managed a pulled rib muscle as I went to suit up. Damn that was uncomfortable. Guess I over did it the day b4 as the waves were quite demanding.
btw- Is that a Sunova Speed you're riding? Those boards are great!
These frames are from 1/30. Current was sweeping at an amazing rate.

cook!  I almost texted you- i was planning on chasing the size and the wind down to LBI the one day but commitments got in the way- looks  like it was killer!  And as a goofy I long for the lefts of South Jersey!

the board on the smaller waves is my Sunova Style 10'6.  I use that on any medium to long period swell that is under wasit high.  I have come to really love it.
