Rest in Peace, Stan Searfus
« on: January 12, 2018, 07:28:46 AM »
Coronado and our worldwide community of Watermen and Waterwomen just lost a great one. Stan Searfus passed doing what he loved...surfing San Diego.

Please take the time to read about a hero and watch Stan's living life story on the YouTube Video.

Be safe out there.

Sad news.

I read the article and it looked like he had chest pains. Those chest pains were probably a warning of a heart attack. I'm guessing he had a heart attack while surfing.

Having had a heart attack while surfing, I completely relate, and sympathize with his family. Sounds like he did a lot with the time he had.  :)

Sad to hear. Tough place for a young family. Most heart related issues give you a little warning before. As we get older, we need to listen to what our bodies are telling us. A month ago, a carpenter working on our house showed up to work in the morning and wasn't feeling good. He said his arm and chest were hurting. We got him to the hospital ASAP. He was having a heart attack, and had another one while at the hospital. He's fine now and back working.
It's not overhead to me!
