custom foilboard travel bag

I worked with Mark from Airwave in San Francisco to design a travel bag for my foilboard/foil/paddle.  I also wanted it to fit my other surfing SUPs, so I did a lot of measuring to make sure the bag would work for all combinations.  While the bag wasn't cheap, Mark did spend a bunch of time with me getting the design right.  Perhaps the next one he makes will be a lot easier...  Just thought I'd share because it worked great on my recent trip and I highly recommend Airwave for custom bags.

That's a slick rig man. I've wondered how to travel a foil as well. That's one of the benefits of the Naish and other aluminum foils, nice cases. But this is nice.

It's also a good idea just as a travel bag in general. That extra spot for paddles could get filled up with gear nicely. (Snorkeling, extra clothes, etc.)

How was the foiling in Hawaii?

Can't complain one bit about surfing in Maui!  The swell wasn't consistent, but I get several great sessions at S turns, which is an excellent spot to foil.  Super soft wave (at least while I was there) and deep enough not to worry much about the reef underneath.  The highlight is just getting out of the car and paddling out - no wetsuit is dreamy!
