The floor is a little hard on my feet barefoot. I may have to stand on some deck pad or in a box of sand ;D

Second thought........ I have cats, so the sand would not be good.
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

Take a look at that, I found the leaning chairs very effective:

Finished our office remodel. Got my standing desk and it's solid. I'm digging drawing in a stand-up position :)
Cool...it's being a designer that got me into standing desk to start. Difficult hand drafting on 30 x 42 sheets from a sitting position. When I 1st started CAD in the 80's I was sitting....it felt weird. Sometime in the 90's I took a now unused electric drafting table and used it as a desk and liked it...been standing since. I keep both a regular desk chair and a draftsmans chair in my office now though. I stand...sit...partially sit....I think mixing up positions is the best answer.

That's what I'm finding works best. I stand for an hour or so, then sit high in my drafting desk with my legs dangling. Then lower the seat and desk. I probably raise and lower the desk 3 or 4 times a day.

By the way. my new standing desk is NOT a three piece leg--two piece, and rock solid.
