When you lack the necessary skills:(
« on: December 01, 2017, 08:35:08 AM »
No no... I swear I can fix it :o

Actually, it's not a bad deal. https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/spo/d/sup-surf-board/6398273192.html
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

What is that, putty?

Actually, I can't say much. The boards I'm using now all have numerous repairs on them, some pretty horrific. I've been kind of unmotivated to do real repairs. My hollow SIC 17 V1 has a bunch of cracks patched with aluminum tape. Sadly, the tape is working very well, not a drop to drain from the board despite several of the cracks being free-flow leakers. The beat to shit Foote 10'4" I bought well used from the 808 rental fleet for next to nothing looks like it has smallpox. I fixed dozens of leaker dings on it.

Surf has been crap lately, and Maliko is an unholy mess. I went back to the mainland for a consultation with my knee doc and he said "NO" to doing a fake knee. Going to do an arthroscopic cleanout when we go back to the mainland, but for now, it's arthritis meds and suck it up, buttercup. Not sure the brace is gonna work on anything bigger than chest high, but we'll see.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

What are the arthritis meds your doc suggests?  I have arthritis,  getting worse so I'm interested in any solutions that can help keep me moving. Getting old ain't for sissy's.

I think the title pretty much applies to any forum category. Some may have had the skills, but they have been taken away from them. Others think they have the skills, but don't. I on the other hand possess many skills, but few of them apply to anything I do. Example: I'm tall enough to reach the top shelf of the wine aisle at the store, but I can only bring myself to reach the bottom shelf?

Have you tried WD40?  Headmount (or maybe I'm remembering wrong) knew a guy who swore by it for his bad knees.

Mobic (generic: Meloxicam). It's a prescription non-steroidal anti-inflammatory. Pretty sure Headmount would be recommending massive Tumeric scarfing rather than WD40.

At least the Naish got the color pretty close.  My Prowave looks like it has blobs of white chewing gum lumped along the edge.

Ah dang just saw this - is this a Zoners board or just a CL find? That’s an easy fix.
