The 2 pack of IWA and Maliko 200 should serve 90% - 95% of riders needs.

I have surfed the KAI for 5 months before getting this 2 pack.  I weigh 185 lbs.

2nd day on the IWA and the waves were up to 8 or 9 feet.  I was pretty spooked but took off and got away from the steep part by riding heavy front foot until WAY down the line.  Slightly terrified but then I had my 3 best rides ever on a foil.  All IWA.

The IWA and Maliko 200 make me feel like a superhero after riding the Kai foil.  The Kai is just too small for the majority of conditions.

My friend Haley Fiske 230# surfed the Kai for 9 months (before blowing up his mast) and NEVER complained about his wing being too small.  Sam Pae was flying the tiny NALU (900 cm^2 vs. the Kai = 1200 cm^2).  He too weighs 230#.  As he said "A good waterman can make things work."

People have warned me that the IWA will be a handful in bigger stuff.  To which I say "I'll be the judge of that."  For now the IWA is the perfect foil.   The Maliko 200 provides insurance when the waves are really small.  In clean conditions it takes off on almost nothing.  The next challenge is having the Cardio to keep pumping these foils.  They'll wipe you out.

Thanks Beasho. Glad to keep hearing that the sport is accessible.
Currently I am 270 so I have 46% again on Beasho (world male average) and another 17% on the 'big guys' aka Pa'e and Pono.
Does that point to foils in the 2000 sqcm range?

There was a guy here a few days ago who I think has something to do GoFoils manufacturing in China. He was on a really wide board with a Maliko 280 foil and was doing very well on it. I'd guess his weight at 270+
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.
