Most Scenic Surf Cams
« on: November 13, 2017, 11:21:30 AM »
I love watching the surf cams while listening to music with headphones, it's dreamy.

What are the members' favorite, most scenic surf cams?

I like Steamer Lane, with all the kiddies jumping off the cliffs into the water, even though it makes me cringe a bit.

Hey Carl. Here’s one from another iconic break. With the time difference you’ll have to wait till the end of your day.

http://webcam-hd.fr/en/webcams-surf/webcam-mundaka-live-hd.html

It’s a new site but when fully running it should have some selection.

This one is good because it is so clear. Way better than the Surfline one at Capitola.

You can also view it on playback for the whole day.

The Ogunquit River Mouth, Ogunquit Maine.

When conditions are good, it's one of the best breaks north of Boston.

I'm always on the hunt for streaming web cams. Some of my paddling favorites for both flat and surfing are below. The first group is from Galveston Island. Once on the page, you'll have to scroll on down to the camera. You can control the camera. The camera button is located on the "lower" right corner of the window and if it is your turn, the various positions of the camera are located in "upper" right corner of the window. BTW, some of these sites require Flash and not Html5. Some of  themare both and some are strictly Html5 to view them.

This next group of web cams is from the Bolivar Peninsula on the upper Texas coast across from Galveston Island. There is no control of the web cam.

This next streaming web cam is from Stingaree Marina on the Bolivar Peninsula. It shows the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW). On the right, you can watch the barge traffic and on the left is the opening to East Bay in the Galveston Bay complex. This is one of my favorite flat water paddling areas on the coast.

The next streaming web cam is at Surfside, Texas and it is the best for surfing since the waves if there is enough wind to make some nice waves. The waves normally are 3'-4' in height. You can control the camera positions too. As a bonus, there are lots of other cameras in their toolbar.

On the middle coast is the Bob Hall Pier at Corpus Christi, Texas. Not the best of cams, but it is not bad if the camera is pointed straight out from the beach. You can't control the camera which is a bummer for me.

At lastly, the streaming web cams at the North and South beaches of South Padre Island, Texas. You can't control the cameras since they're mounted on top of the hotels there, but the camera rotates around and eventually you'll see the surf in a panoramic view.

When it gets dark on the east coast of the U.S.  ...the sun is rising (along with a predictable swell) in OZ.

...Witches Rock in Costa Rica is also worth a look.

Made a mistake with left and right. The fixed version is below:

This next streaming web cam is from Stingaree Marina on the Bolivar Peninsula. It shows the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) on the "left" where you can watch the barge traffic and on the "right" is the opening to East Bay in the Galveston Bay complex. This is one of my favorite flat water paddling areas on the coast.

SUP Sports One World: 11'1" x 30" x 4.5" @ 173 Liters
