My wife just told me the strangest thing: If you add your age and your birthdate, you get our current year of 2017, no matter who you are.  She said it's a mathematical anomaly that occurs only once every 1000 years.  Try it and report back.  I'm finding this hard to believe.

On Jan 1/18 how old will you be plus the year you were born?  After your birthday in 2018 do the same calculation.

It's not perfect, but accurate to within a year.
