Mast track Placement
« on: November 07, 2017, 04:47:40 AM »
Hi, a friend just about gave me a new 7'8" x 34" SUP foil that I would like to add a mast track. The Tuttle Box is 19" from the tail. Suggestions for mast track placement would be appreciated.

I have a very current w'surfing board (Starboard Kode) that exact same length, the center of the mast track box is 52" from the tail.
It takes a quiver to do that.

You are gonna need to be a bit more forward of 52" More like 54" to 55" SUP balance point is further forward than a high performance windsurfer like the Kode. Plus the foil is forward moving the center of lateral resistence further forward

Just my 2 cents

Thanks for the input!
Just watched Slingshot's Foil Academy and 43" from forward Tuttle screw to center of track is recommended....
