SOLOSHOT3 Arrived

After a little over two years since I pre-ordered the SS3 it arrived (2nd day air CA to NJ was nice). Unboxed it, schooled it, and it's gtg. The SS3 is quite a few notches up from it's predecessor. Impressive features and functionality. Had a successful first shoot triggering hi-res bursts from the tag/armband. Second go shooting video was a fail as I was WAY out of frame. Third try shooting video was a bit more successful.
 Hopefully the framing issue will resolve itself for me after a few more goes. It's framed beautifully at first, but as soon as the zoom enables I go way out of frame. Still managed some great footage regardless. Very nice color and clarity from the Opti25 on this spectacular fall day.
Next go out I will try "Button Press" on tracking and start targeting clips.

Good luck w/it Eastie! Do the fuss! I so wanna see your SS vids! Sooo many people will have them now. There were something like 1000 pre-order the first month.

How do keep from getting stolen

Ahhh, the big question everyone always asks. You can lock it w/a typical pc/k-lock type cable. I've only locked mine twice the whole time, counting both the orig SS and the SS2. The SS3 is a slick and smart robot cam that is prob worth locking up for sure.
Here I have the SS2 cabled to the chain link fence on this bluff. One of the only times I've ever done it on a cliff.

That would be the Gulliver V-Box. My Corevac Blade is yellow and red and shortboard in shape, not a Tomo shape. I do indeed like the Blade a whole lot. It's my thinnest sup and def my most challenging to stand on and catch waves. Thing maneuvers really nicely though. Quite fast and lose. You can catch the Blade in action in my "Waves of Summer" edit.
