Kanga at Kelly's wave pool
« on: November 02, 2017, 10:03:58 PM »
Anybody catch Kanga riding his SUP at Kelly's wave pool?  The tube section catches him off guard but I think the best part are his facial expressions - he looks stoked beyond belief :)  https://www.facebook.com/kangacairns/videos/10214279465931723

PS: He is not the first guy to SUP there - it is a very exclusive club.

Man, looks so fun. I hope he went back and tucked into that section. What a wave.

I know Gerry Lopez went, Maui Meyer was telling me about it Haloween night. Maui wanted to go but they couldn't do it. Yeah, Ian obviously loved it. I think the whole idea of having a regular section and then a pitching tube is just awesome.

I wanna go! Looks like one hell of a fun wave.

Maybe, but he isn't the skinny guy I remember. He looks too much like me when he's sitting down. Width is our friend.

A  narrower tail would be his friend on that wave

I love the quote from Kelly Slater that surfing is like the mob; once you're in, you're in for life.

Actually, both groups have a few people who don't stay in.  You can tell them by their bad knees.

Not me, I haven't surfed a day in my life!
Actually mine did look like that, had knots on the tops of my feet also, they reeked havoc in my ski boots .  It took about 40 years for them to go away.
It takes a quiver to do that.
