New Shark Kings Accelerator 8'2"

About a month ago my King's Accelerator was bitten by a rather large shark.

I donated the board to the Shark Conservancy here in Chatham.

Through a wonderful set of synchronous events I am getting a replacement from Dave Daum at King's and the incredible people at the Shark Conservancy are picking up the tab.

The things that we will do to get a new board! LOL!

Just got some pics from Dave which I am going to post as a tease!

When I get it will do a much more comprehensive review, but I really felt like sharing this unexpected turn of fortune.

Supdiscobay, Two inches shorter, 1/4" narrower, and 1/4" thicker! Liters up from 104 to 109.

The first one took me a while to feel comfortable on and was challenging wearing a wetsuit. That's why I bumped up the literage.

Owned a 7'11" King's a while back and still have an 8'4" which is for bigger and hollower stuff.

That's why I went to 8'2"!

Crazy old man..Like a fox..Or not! Lol!

Well, it's completed and I just picked it up at the Freight Terminal. Freight Gods were kind and the board arrived in perfect condition.

Old tradition insisted that I paddle it. Groveled in Hull on literal ankle high onshore. No sharks, warm water, as the sun went down. Felt great and will report after some real waves.

Tell us more about the bottom design. I've seen these stripes tested on wetsuits too.
