Chase.. You're like Ricky paddling around with the seals on the Cape.  Tempting fate keeps loading dopamine.  'Careful, you are going to want to jump those rocks.

Man, I have SUP'd that wave so many times. I need to take a foil our there at some point. Its a bitch of a paddle though, and every Tom, Dick and Harry is out there on skis now. Maybe I will have to buy one of those boost fins after all...

Can someone discuss his foot placements...  I was under, perhaps the misimpression, your back foot was mostly/always atop or just aft of the mast.  There are times when he is cruising rather than carving were both are quite forward.  ...dictated by lift/speed?  Impressive - both skill and wave.

You are correct.  A starting place for back foot is on top of the mast.  And lift/speed can be handled by shifting weight, either via the hips, or by moving feet, or moving the mast, or changing the front wing bigger or smaller, or rear wing shimming to have more or less downforce.   All different ways of balancing/leveling/maintaining adequate altitude to keep the board off the water and foil wings in the water.

We had a stellar day of foiling this week, usually this spot is very poor to marginal, the bars have been really good recently:

Great video as usual!  Thanks for sharing.  Can you share the video cam mount setup?  Looks like 360 cam on pole with pole looped to the paddle so can be extended out?

This was during my last trip to the french carribean.

Kind of tricky as it gets really shallow sometimes but foiling in warm water makes a huge difference, so much easier to pump.

Thanks, like I said I'm used to foil in cold water so being in warm water felt way easier :)

I bet there is no old Gauloises smoke residue left in your lungs.. FF.   I bet the paddleguy went in for a nap after watching you.   Good one.

So good. That wave is a foil park! It's waves like that, or footage I see from Fiji that makes me want to travel for foiling.
